CORTEZ – Anna Jensen headlined a Montezuma-Cortez Panthers surge after the girls soccer program resumed action following a multiyear hiatus.
Starting at central midfield, Jensen closed out her high school soccer career by making the 3A All-State honorable mention list.
Jensen, who was Montezuma-Cortez’s Class of 2024 salutatorian, previously earned Second-Team All-State honors in 2023.
Jensen scored 12 goals and contributed nine assists as part of a Montezuma-Cortez program during her three-year tenure with the Panthers.
Montezuma-Cortez won the 3A Southwest League title twice during that span, accruing a 20-15-5 record and two state tournament appearances.
All-state selections are determined by nominations from each league in CHSAA’s four girls soccer classifications, with coaches voting on allocations for First-Team, Second-Team and honorable mention accolades.
