A trail-planning effort called Paths to Mesa Verde kicks off with public meetings this month.
Public input is needed on a plan for a path from Cortez to Mancos, going past Phil’s World, and Mesa Verde National Park.
The public is invited to take a survey on how they would use the trail, and attend two open houses.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 22 from 7-9 p.m. at the Mancos Library Community Room.
The second open house will take place on Wednesday, April 23, from 7-9 p.m. at the Cortez Recreation Center.
Paths to Mesa Verde is a joint effort between the City of Cortez, Town of Mancos, Montezuma County, Mesa Verde National Park, BLM-Tres Rios Field Office, CDOT, and the community.
