Nominate Dolores’ best citizen and business of 2018

Winners will be chosen at annual spring banquet in Dolores

The Dolores Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year for 2018.

The deadline for nominations is Jan. 12.

Citizen of the Year is a person or group of people that goes the extra mile for the community. They may display leadership, initiative, creativity and dedication, according to the guidelines.

Through their involvement, they inspire others, develop creative ways to accomplish things and take charge by developing programs and activities.

Business of the Year is one that contributes and promotes growth, stability and improvement. They promote the area as a good place to live and do business, show innovative and creative business practices, and demonstrate good customer service and community relationships. They may play a leadership role in civic activities and volunteer their time to good causes.

The winners will be announced at the Chamber of Commerce Spring Banquet on March 9.

The 2017 winners were Linnea Vass for Citizen of the Year and the Dolores River Brewery for Business of the Year.
