‘Necessity must prompt opportunity’

Just as opportunity comes knocking, we tend to knock back, and I feel this occurs as often as it is dismissed. People have a tendency for tenacity and in a world ever growing in hardship and complexity, we all seek refuge from the mire.

It won’t take a Harvard scholar to explain why opportunity and ingenuity go hand in hand, and we’ve all heard “necessity is the mother of innovation.” It stands to reason that necessity must prompt opportunity.

It’s no coincidence that hard times snowball. One bad thing leads to another and so on, sometimes for years on end. Most of those “bad things” are missed opportunities.

Be it housing, education, financial aid or so-on. Hardship persists because it creates necessity. When our chance at resolution is lost, we blame karma before accepting accountability and the spiral begins.

Having lived at Purple Cliffs, and seeing no attempt made by local government to retain accountability for leaving necessity wanting for resolution, we must resolve this ourselves. Pursuant of opportunity, any and all.
