Lakewood man goes off U.S. 550 on Coal Bank Pass
A 30-year-old motorcyclist from Lakewood was flown to Mercy Regional Medical Center with serious injuries after going off U.S. Highway 550 north of Durango about 5:20 p.m. Saturday.
Chris Gonzales, 30, of Lakewood, was cited for careless driving, driving under the influence and driving without insurance, said Colorado State Patrol Capt. Adrian Driscoll.
Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor, Driscoll said.
Gonzales was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson and went off the right side on Coal Bank Pass near mile marker 61, Driscoll said.
