Montezuma County releases new round of Business Reliefs Funds

Montezuma County has released a new round of grant funding for Montezuma businesses. Grants up to $10,000 are available to for-profit and nonprofit businesses including 501(c)(6) and 501(c)(3) organizations and home-based businesses that meet the following eligibility criteria:

Business/organization must be located within Montezuma County.The business/organization must still be in business.Requests must not duplicate funding already received for this purpose from other COVID-19 related grants or relief programs including, but not limited to, PPP and EIDL loans.All requests will be asked to provide receipts and/or financial documentation to demonstrate need.Because of limited funding, preference will be given to for-profit businesses that have not yet received funding. Montezuma has already granted $396,065 to businesses and nonprofits since October 2020. Businesses that receive funding will also get a one-year membership to their chamber (Cortez, Mancos or Dolores) or an additional year if already a member.

All applications must be received by 4 p.m. May 7.

Applications can be dropped off at the Region 9 Satellite office at Dolores State Bank, 27880 U.S. Highway 160 or scanned and emailed to laura@scan.org.
