Montezuma County Patriots grateful for support

Montezuma County Patriots want to thank everyone who helped make the Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon a success.

It would not have been possible without the help of Cortez Walmart, especially Rhonda in the bakery department, Slavens True Value Hardware, J Fargo’s Restaurant, Cortez City Park Recreation, the patriots who donated beverages, and those who made monetary and items, time and energy donations.

A special acknowledgment to Butch and Pat Smith, Sherrie Simmons and Leroy Crawn for their hard work pulling it all together.

Kudos to Stan Chaffin and Jeanette Hart for the invaluable contributions.

The show of support from the community was heartfelt.

The desserts baked by the members of the Lighthouse Baptist Church and the cookies donated by the Girl Scouts made it complete.

We also thank the local ministers who attended for their prayers and the American Legion Youth Baseball team for their great assistance serving, making it truly a community effort.

To all our wonderful law enforcement officers who participated, a giant thank-you for allowing us to show you how much this community does appreciate you.

If we have failed to mention anyone, please forgive us, and God bless you all.
