Kent Lindsay secured another four-year term as Montezuma County Commissioner in Tuesday’s election.
He got 100% of votes in the county for the seat, having run uncontested.
This will be his second, four-year term in a row after getting elected in 2020.
Lindsay said his priority is to “get the federal government to pay its tax bill.”
“They owe us about $80 million,” Lindsay said.
Lindsay first became county commissioner in 1997 and served ‘til 2005.
In addition to his role as county commissioner, he serves on the Empire Electric Association board, and used to own the Rio Grande Café on Main Street for 40 years.
