The Mancos Public Library will host a tea meet-and-greet this Sunday with a local piece of history.

Fran Pearlmutter served in World War II as a decoder. A graduate of Boston University, she was recruited to help break codes during the war because of her linguistic skills.

She now lives in Mancos.

The meet-and-greet is free and open to the public. It will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the library.
