“We selected Katie to help bring the Mancos Creative District into a more relevant role in Mancos because of her extensive experience as a leader in community-centered nonprofit organizations and projects,” Board President T.J. Zark said in the news release. “We had several exceptional candidates apply for the position, but Katie stood out as the right catalyst for growth, because of her strong and diverse skill set, as well as her unique combination of energy, leadership, with the ability to toggle between vision and action.”
“My career has involved understanding small business interests and studying how the design of community experiences impacts our well-being,” said McClure. “We know from evidence through Colorado Creative Industries, as well as what I have witnessed in my own work and home, supporting opportunities for creative experience and expression brings people together and are foundational to our well-being and vitality. I’m really excited to work alongside our community to support the economic and cultural vibrance of the Mancos Valley.”
