Mancos Creative District hosting raffle, silent auction

The Mancos Creative District will raffle off three items during Mancos Days this weekend.

A bronze Veryl Goodnight sculpture called “The Dancing Stallion,” worth $600, will be raffled, as well as a 1970-era Navajo rug, worth $600, and a river raft made by Alpaca Rafts, worth $555.

Raffle tickets are available at the Mancos Visitors Center and cost $10, or two for $15 and three for $25. The Creative District also will operate a booth during Mancos Days at Boyle Park from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

A silent auction also will take place to benefit the Creative District. Items in the auction include art by local artists, massages, restaurant gift certificates, haircuts, jewelry, Mancos School of the West certificates, yoga classes, Mancos Brewfest tickets and other items.
