Police are searching for a man suspected of using his cellphone to take video or photographs up the skirt of a woman last week at Walmart in Durango.
The incident occurred Saturday, said Bryan Heaton, detective with the Durango Police Department.
“The victim realized what the male was doing and confronted him on it, and that’s when the male left the store,” Heaton said. “We’ve got him on surveillance with a cellphone in his hand, and we believe he utilized the cellphone to take photographs.”
The man is described as possibly in his 40s, medium build, 6-feet to 6-feet 2-inches tall, wearing a red Aeropostale T-shirt and blue jeans. He had two women with him at the time.
He was seen leaving the store in a newer-model white Ford F-150 with darkly tinted windows. The truck has a sunroof and a sticker in the rear window.
A Utah man caught filming up women’s skirts last year at south City Market in Durango was sentenced earlier this year to three years in prison.
Anyone with information can call dispatch at 385-2900 or Crimestoppers at 247-1112.
