‘MAGA has become a blanket slur’

What is MAGA?

I thought it stood for Make America Great Again? Who wouldn’t want that? Sounds like a mainstream idea to me.

Eons ago, I remember cheering American men and women to victory in the Olympics. We all wanted to be the best, to be great. It bound us together, our pride in being American, no matter where we started. Didn’t we cheer on the Greatest Generation when they returned home from saving the world? They were pretty great! We all like to be great, I hope.

Now, it seems greatness has turned into a slur that people use to convey hate without cause. Hate of anybody different. Similar to how ignorant, despicable people use the n-word to spew hatred, MAGA has become a blanket slur applied to anybody someone might consider old-fashioned or out of touch with the new world order. People who subscribe to simple values of love your neighbor, the golden rule, god, family, country, freedom. Certainly, such people are worthy of hate – at least that’s what our mainstream media says.

I believe in the greatness of America and her people. I’m not alone. Strive for greatness, fellow Americans. The Greatest Generation doesn’t have to be the last generation.
