Local shares her newest novel, ‘Colorado Takedown,’ in Dolores

Rohman offers taste of ‘Colorado Takedown’

Author Cricket Rohman will discuss her writing process and her novels, including “Saving Madeline” and her newest release, “Colorado Takedown,” which she wrote from her log cabin up the West Dolores/Dunton Road.

Rohman will be at the Dolores Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.

All eight of Cricket’s books will be available for purchase at special event prices.

Cricket is one of the 33 contributors of an anthology of short stories for seniors who suffer from dementia and other related memory or cognitive disorders. The book “The Mighty Ant” is the culmination of a project from editor and contributor, Jessica Bryan who is a caregiver and advocate for caregivers. The book is now available on Amazon.com. The proceeds from the sales of the books will be donated to the Council on Aging in Jessica’s area.

Her story “Greetings” is included. “Both of my parents had Alzheimer’s. If only there had been a book like this when I was caring for them,” she said. “As an author of many novels, I was delighted (and challenged) to write a short, simple story for this worthwhile anthology.”
