Beer can now be served at a golf and multisport simulation business on the corner of East Empire Street and Colorado Highway 145.

The Cortez City Council on Tuesday approved a hotel and restaurant liquor license for Rudosky Unlimited LLC and agents Micah and Anett Rudosky. The company purchased two simulators that allow individuals or groups to play golf on dozens of courses around the world.

“We just can’t play golf here in the wintertime,” Micah Rudosky told The Journal in January.

Police Chief Roy Lane conducted an investigation into the applicant and took a poll of nearby residents and businesses. He reported that 55 were in favor and zero were against the liquor license.
