The Durango Herald’s opinion piece relating to Donald Trump’s latest show trial by Democrats is probably wasted. Now you’ll have to pen another editorial after the appeals explaining why you mistakenly penned the current editorial.
Even the legal analyst for CNN admitted it was a bogus trial that only Trump would have been put through. The real problem is not Trump and the, obviously, too many legal harassments and trials he’s been put through. The real problem is the over-the-top abuse of the American legal system to “get Trump.”
It means our legal system is now worthless and is not a tool of justice but is a tool of the Democratic Party. We’re now a third-world country that has “show trials” and “public shamings,” and so forth. And there’s probably no way to recover what has been squandered by leftist partisans.
The American legal system took a huge hit when Ted Kennedy was laughingly let off by a judge after he had caused the death of Mary Jo Kopechne in 1969. Unfortunately, there was no outrage by Democrats.
As time went on, Democrat district attorneys, much like Alvin Bragg, began getting ridiculous legal indictments against Republicans from leftist grand juries in heavily Democrat towns. This legal abuse became common, and now they have used if for the personal and political destruction of Donald Trump.
And our heavily liberal news media helps all that it can, unfortunately.
