Learn about teaching in Australia and Canada

The Journal

The Colorado International Teacher Exchange League plans an informational meeting for teachers who are interested in participating in a teacher exchange in Australia or Canada next year.

It’s at 3 p.m. at the Cortez Public Library on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The exchange educator must be a non-probationary, full-time employee of the current school district. Four and a half years of classroom teaching and/or professional experience are required by the time the exchange begins. There should be a lapse of three years between exchanges. Candidates must hold a state teaching license and be a U.S. citizen.

Barbara Grist, exchange teacher to Australia in 1996, will give you information in order to apply and answer questions about her year abroad.
