Juneteenth – it’s now a national holiday! Creating a holiday sure is easier than looking at reparations. Until that discussion is more widely held, let’s celebrate from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at Buckley Park. It’s Father’s Day – what better way to celebrate fathers than socializing and listening to music in the park? Bring blankets and chairs. Bring your friends! A family friendly event honoring, remembering and celebrating! It’s Black-led to unite and grow the Black community, and will feature history, music, a soul food potluck, crafts and fun!
