Attention, Democrats: For 30 years between 1986 and 2016, middle-class workers feel they’ve been left behind and ignored. During that period, consumer prices went up 86%, but workers’ wages only increased 29%. They are completely discouraged and fed up with the established system of both parties, and their anger is justified. We Democrats are supposed to take care of the middle class, but we didn’t; we dropped the ball and are now paying the price.
During the 2016 primaries, Bernie Sanders became the only candidate who saw the writing on the wall about this problem. But the Democrat elites cut him out of the running and pushed in their fellow elitist Hillary Clinton. Since Sanders was not a narcissist sociopath, he would have won that election.
The pandemic caused extra pain as workers didn’t have reserves to help them weather that crises, and few could work from home. Donald Trump tapped into this middle-class anger as they wanted to burn the established system to the ground, which Trump promised he’d do. Attention, Trump voters: Now that he has what he wanted, the presidency, he doesn’t need you anymore. If you thought Joe Biden was bad, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.
