Hiker Jennifer Pharr Davis to talk about new book, ‘Endurance’

Author Jennifer Pharr Davis, who has hiked more than 14,000 miles of long-distance trails nationally and internationally, will speak about her new book at the Cortez Public Library on June 29 at 6 p.m.

Pharr Davis’ book “The Pursuit of Endurance: Harnessing the Record-Breaking Power of Strength and Resilience” reveals the endurance secrets of the world’s leading athletes in hiking, backpacking and trail running.

Refreshments will be served at the free event, and door prizes will be provided by Osprey and Run+Hike.

The presentation is free at the library, 202 N. Park St. It is co-sponsored by The Farm Bistro, Four Corners Free Press, KSJD Community Radio, Friends of the Cortez Public Library, Maria’s Bookshop, Osprey and Run+Hike.
