A rockslide on Colorado Highway 145 north of Dolores temporarily cut traffic down to one lane Thursday morning.

The highway reopened fully shortly before noon. The slide occurred near mile post 25, about 14 miles north of Dolores.

Colorado Department of Transportation officials responded around 10 a.m. with heavy machinery to reports that rock and mud had covered a portion of the highway, said CDOT spokeswoman Adair Christensen.

No injuries or damage to any vehicles was reported, according to Colorado State Patrol.

The slide is 4 miles past where two house-sized boulders blocked the highway in 2019.

Crews will return at a later date, likely next week, to blast the largest boulder into smaller pieces and move it farther away from the edge of the highway.
