A Hesperus man was found dead from a gunshot wound Tuesday evening in southwest La Plata County.
County Coroner Jann Smith identified the man as 36-year-old Joshua Brashear.
The Sheriff’s Office said Brashear was found outside his vehicle shortly after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of county roads 119 and 116, west of Breen.
Investigators suspect Brashear suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No foul play is suspected. The gun was found at the scene, according to a Sheriff’s Office spokesman.
