The Oct. 21 editorial in The Journal and The Durango Herald with the headline, “True political middle is ideal,” is progressive hypocrisy at its very best. The final quote says, “It’s a shared outlook – the other base is the problem. The middle could be the place, the rich soil where we begin to grow together. We just need professionals up to the job.”
Ninety percent of the media, including the Journal and the Herald, eschews the middle at all costs. Biased news stories, a steady diet of progressive editorials and, even worse, the sin of omission. When is editorial page staff going to show some professionalism and promote political middle-of-the-road political views?
