Helping those in need

The Mancos High School student council and National Honor Society display canned goods and turkeys collected during their Thanksgiving food drive. The group will provide six full Thanksgiving meals for needy families in Mancos and donate the rest to the Mancos Methodist Church food pantry. The student council now has a toy drive to benefit the Mancos Early Learning Center and the elementary. Bins for donations are at P&D Grocery and Wal-mart until Dec. 16.
