Compassionate hearts must unite in action as never before now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade. Women with crisis pregnancies need more than baby clothes, diapers and cribs. We must all come together as a nation and work harder than ever to pass legislation that will provide them with a living wage, affordable child care, affordable housing, affordable education and affordable health care, as well as emotional and spiritual community support.
Abortion is illegal in Brazil but the government provides women with virtually free contraception. It seems that would be a good place to start. We must now, more than ever, be proactive and continue to care deeply for women in crisis pregnancies and for their children beyond the womb.
