Health department’s online vaccine scheduler up and running

Southwest Health and Axis Health System also offer online platform
The major providers of coronavirus vaccines in Montezuma County now allow individuals to make appointments online.

The Montezuma County Public Health Department announced this week that its new online vaccine appointment scheduler is up and running.

In order to schedule an appointment previously, those seeking a vaccine had to call or email the health department and be placed on a waiting list. That individual would then wait for the department to contact them.

The health department asks that those who schedule with them but receive their vaccine elsewhere cancel their appointment so that time slot can be used by someone else.

Those in Phases 1A and 1B on the state’s distribution list are currently eligible for the vaccine.

Southwest Health and Axis Health System have also recently created online platforms for those seeking to get coronavirus vaccines.

To schedule an appointment online with the health department, visit https://montezumacounty.org and then go to the COVID-19 resource page.

To schedule online with SHS, visit https://www.swhealth.org/covid-19info/
