Halloween events planned in Dolores and Cortez

Costume parties, haunted mazes offered

There are numerous Halloween events taking place Tuesday.

The Pony Expresso in Dolores will have its annual Halloween/Anniversary party at 795 Railroad Ave. from 5-8 p.m. They will have food, hot chocolate and coffee, plus the coffee bar will be open. They are celebrating their fifth year in business.At Montezuma Cortez High School there will be a Dia De Muertos celebration hosted by the French and Spanish Club in room 2203. From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. there will be a Haunted Hay Maze in the Ag Shop and Courtyard. It is sponsored by the drama club and Cortez FFA, and costs $8. Bring non-perishable food items for a discount.For adults, Blondie’s Trophy Room, in Cortez, will have a Halloween costume party with live music starting at 8 p.m. No cover charge.JFargos restaurant, 1209 E. Main Street, Cortez, will be open for safe Trick-or-Treating from 4-6 p.m.Southwest Memorial Hospital is hosting a kid-friendly trick-or-treat event on the north side of the campus.
