Gravel portion of Dolores-Norwood Road will be resurfaced

Work should last a week, Forest Service says

The Dolores-Norwood Road, Forest Road 526, will be maintained with new gravel surfacing from the end of the pavement north of Dolores, 4.3 miles to the Dolores/Montezuma County line, beginning about March 27.

The project should last about a week, depending on the weather, the U.S. Forest Service said in a news release. Users should expect one-lane traffic, short delays, and heavy truck traffic.

The road is maintained in conjunction with Montezuma County under agreement with the Forest Service.
