Grantiply coaches grant-writing for nonprofits

New service develops project, messaging
Jeff Sand, of Dolores-based Grantiply, works on grant-writing strategies with Laurie Dickson and Elsa Jagniecki, of the Durango nonprofit 4Core.

A Dolores resident has created an online training center for nonprofit grant writers.

Jeff Sand launched Grantiply in March to coach organizations on researching, writing and presenting better grant proposals.

Members can access free training or pay a fee for more in-depth consultation from Sand, who has teaching and grant-writing experience, a bachelor’s degree in literature, and a master’s degree in online education from Western State.

He started the Grantiply service after seeing a need and launching a successful pilot program.

“In the chase for funding, strategies for grant proposals tend to fall to the wayside,” Sand said. “We connect with busy professionals to develop their project, then train how to communicate their funding needs in a compelling way.”

Grantiply helps groups find the right types of grants for their goals. They teach grant-writing best practices, project development, project budgeting and board duties.

“We help unpack and present a subject or concept, and develop a fundraising strategy,” Sand said.

The business uses online technology to connect with clients, including live mentoring sessions, You Tube broadcasts and training videos.

“We have a lot of technical expertise and know how to organize content on an online platform,” Sand said.
