I’ve heard that many of the Donald Trump faithful believe his survival from an assassination attempt proves he’s a chosen one of God.
God help us.
Did God decide to “take the life” of Corey Comperatore, a loving father who shielded his family from the bullets of an AR-15 in the hands of a seemingly Godless punk?
God only knows. No mortals do and God ain’t talking.
We have a “God given right” to bear arms (including AR-15s) Right? Not really. God’s been noticeably quiet on guns since the creation.
But, according to Time magazine, every year, about 3,500 children and teens . are shot and killed in the U.S.
How in God’s name could that be?
Well, it’s not in God’s name.
The God-fearing right believe liberals are devoid of God.
I don’t believe God has a dog in this dogfight called politics. You’d expect God to be above all that.
I can’t get into God’s head and don’t know if she’s even got a head.
Brings me to a Bob Dylan song, “Simple Twist of Fate.”
Trump chosen by God?
No, just a simple twist and he’d be as dead as the shooter.
Truly, I thank God Trump wasn’t killed by this young man with his God given right to have an implement of death. And also, I wish to God that 3,500 kids weren’t killed in America every year by guns.
