Physical therapist Staci Cost has joined the physical therapy and rehabilitation services team at Southwest Health System.
She fills a position vacated by a traveling therapist and will work full-time at the Mildred Road campus, providing inpatient and outpatient services.
Cost joins a team composed of Diane Daniel, Mike Francisco, David Farkas, Nancy Segel and supervising physical therapist Jodi Harris.
Cost, 44, last worked at Select Physical Therapy in Lakewood, Colorado, and at Fishermen’s Hospital in Florida. She received a bachelor’s degree in health science and a physical therapy certificate from California State University, Northridge in 1995 and a master’s in health science in 2006 from the University of St. Augustine, Florida. She completed her manual therapy certification from the University of St. Augustine in 2000 and is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. Cost is Pilates-certified and specializes in spinal disorders, chronic pathologies and sports injuries. She recently received a doctorate degree in physical therapy through Regis University.
Cost is a native Coloradan, and enjoys skiing and soccer. She is married and has two children, ages 8 and 10.
