The Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving serious injuries Wednesday morning on U.S. Highway 160 west of Durango.

The crash involved four vehicles, including a semitrailer, said Cpl. Jonathan Silver, with the State Patrol.

The crash occurred about 8 a.m. at mile post 75.1, just west of Durango West I subdivision, on Hesperus Hill.

Drivers can expect intermittent traffic flow and road closures through the area until 12:30 or 1:30 p.m., Silver said. Conditions were foggy and roads were wet.

The State Patrol was not immediately able to say whether the crash involved any fatalities, but he confirmed there were serious injuries.

He warned drivers to slow down as conditions turn icy heading into the winter months.
