Fort Lewis College hosts Fall Round Dance for Native American Heritage Month

As part of Native American Heritage Month, the Fort Lewis College Native American & Indigenous Studies program is hosting a Fall Round Dance on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. The event is free and open to everyone. Parking on campus is free after 5 p.m.

The Fall Round Dance will feature Derrick Keeswood (Diné) as lead singer and Bruce LeClaire (Sicangu Lakota) as stick man. 2015-16 Miss Hozhoni Nicole Lovato (Santo Domingo Pueblo) and her First Attendant Charine Gonzales (San Ildefonso Pueblo) will also be on hand.

The event will include a cake walk, door prizes, an Indian Taco sale, and Native American goods from student vendors.
