A day after another senseless shooting in our country, I opened my copy of The Durango Herald to find the Big R Stores flyer advertising shotguns that look like AR-15s.
What are we doing in the country? Why are we putting gun rights over our children's rights? This big tangled mess we’ve created with holding up the Second Amendment doesn’t just stop if we outlaw guns (I realize it’s not that simple), but taking steps to limit the exposure of these killing machines in such a toy-like manner is an easy step to take. I’d urge the Herald to review these flyers before they mindlessly put them in their paper.
