FARMINGTON – The Farmington Public Library will hold a book sale Friday and Saturday at the Farmington Public Library’s parking lot.

The Farmington Public Library Foundation puts on a book sale every year, but the event was canceled last year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Books will be sold by the box starting at $20, according to a news release from the library. Some items will be priced separately.

“The books offered during the sale are items that were donated and cannot be included in the library’s collection and books that are no longer relevant to the library’s collection,” the release said.

The release also said there is a “large variety” of books for sale.

“The goal this year is to get books out,” said Karen McPheeters, library director. “We know a lot of people cleaned out their homes and generously donated books during the pandemic. The library is beyond capacity for storage, and we’d love to get these books to good homes.”

Volunteers are also needed during the event. To volunteer, call Amanda Wussow at (505) 566-2210.
