San Juan Jazz Society will present the Farmington Jazz Festival from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Farmington Civic Center, 200 W. Arrington St.
The event will featuring free live performances by indigenous jazz vocalist Julia Keefe, Rob Muller, Broke with Expensive Taste and a special performance by San Juan Jazz Combo.
Food trucks and a gated bar will be onsite. Musicians may sign up for the "Longest Note" contest sponsored by the San Juan Jazz Society. Registration is free. Play the longest note of all participants on a brass or woodwind instrument and win the first annual "Longest Note" trophy with a $100 cash prize.
Traegers will host an after party following the festival at 5170 College Blvd.
