Farmers Market growing

Guydrene and Lisa Ward sell their harvest in a jar at the Dolores Farmers Market.

Enjoy live music and stock up on fresh vegetables, eggs, savory pies, jams and more at the Dolores Farmers Market, every Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Flanders Park.

Music begins around 5 p.m. Upcoming shows are The Porchlights, Aug. 7; Herb Folsom and Roscoe, Aug. 14; Brett Pesja "Guitarist at Large," Aug. 21; Chase and Mary, Aug. 28; Herb Folsom and Roscoe, Sept. 4.

The selection of products include broccoli, lettuce, kohlrabi, carrots, tomatoes, fresh artisan bread, soft pretzels and homespun wool.

Each week, the number of vendors is growing.

Those who want to sell should call Dolores Town Hall for information at (970) 882-7720 or just show up and organizers will come by. There is no charge for being a vendor, and spaces are not reserved.

Vendors are welcome to locate in any part of the grassy area in Flanders Park but not on the median adjacent to the highway. Vendors should park vehicles in one of the spaces around the park and not in the Town Hall parking lot. Vendors should stay from 4-7 p.m.
