Grant funding of $10,000 will support the work of nonprofits in Montezuma County.
El Pomar trustees approved grant allocations to two nonprofit organizations in the region at the foundation’s trustees’ meeting in December. The following organizations were awarded grants:
Montezuma School to Farm Project of Mancos — $5,000 in general operating support.Medicine Horse Center – Therapeutic Riding & Equine Rehabilitation of Mancos — $5,000 for direct care of equines.The Sally Beck Fund supports organizations providing direct care to equines, therapeutic riding programs, equine education programs and equine-related disaster response programs.
