Two Durango men suspected of an armed robbery and assault last Thursday remain at-large and are still considered armed and dangerous, according to Durango Police.
Cmdr. Jacob Dunlop said the two men – identified as Joshua Gallegos, 23, and Stephen Goupil, 33 – had not been located as of Tuesday morning.
Last Thursday, Durango Police said the apparent victim in the incident got into a car with Gallegos and Goupil near Taco Bell on north Main Avenue. It appears the victim was an acquaintance of the two men, according to police.
The group then went to the End-O-Day Motel at 350 East Eighth Ave., where Gallegos and Goupil are suspected of robbing and assaulting the victim at gunpoint, stealing cash and a wallet. The victim got away, contacted police and was ultimately taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Police say Gallegos and Goupil are considered armed and dangerous, and anyone who sees the men is asked not to approach them. Instead, call a detective with Durango Police at 375-4734 or non-emergency dispatch at 385-2900.
