Dolores River advocates to screen ‘River of Sorrow’

Join Dolores River Boating Advocates at the Sunflower Theatre on Saturday, April 30 in Cortez for a special community screening of the final cut of “River of Sorrow,” by Rig to Flip.

This film dives into the challenges, impacts, and current realities of managing the Dolores River, named “River of Sorrows” by early Spanish explorers. River of Sorrow brings to the screen the sad tale of a western river struggling to survive amidst the many uses that impact its flows

Showings are at 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m., and tickets are $10 at the door or online at www.sunflowertheater.com.

The film is about 45 minutes long, and beverages will be available for purchase, so come early, stay late and mingle with fellow boaters and discuss the upcoming season.
