Dolores peewee wrestlers perform well during busy weekend

Team members split between Regionals in Alamosa and local tournament in Cortez

Continuing to build on what has been a season-long pattern of success, the Dolores Pee-Wee Wrestling Club saw its wrestlers perform well at a Regional Tournament in Alamosa and a local tournament in Cortez on March 23.

First-place finishers at the Regionals included Ethen Robson, Braden Schmittel, Daniel Jacket and Ryatt Loomis. First-place finishers at the Cortez tournament included Payson Bryan, Kason Pixler, Noah Hobbs, Gage Mueller, Jackson Beattie, Sage Scott and River Wickstrom.

Second-place finishers at the Regionals included Teagun Samora, Cash Rigers, Nico Martinez, Bodie Stiegelmeyer, Jaxx Robson and Jaiden Green. Second-place finishers in Cortez included Kianna Ashmore, Devin Eichner, Emmett MacMillan, Tyshawn Begay, Tilden Begay, Willy Millard, Jordan Yazzie and Brooks Story.

Third-place finishers at Regionals included Daniel Stepp, Kamron Adams, JJ Robson and Hunter Ferguson. Third-place finishers at the Cortez tournament included Kyle Black, Kade Stepp, Kyle Buffington, Marshal Wickstrom, Jervon Bia and Bella Duran.

Fourth-place finishers at Regionals included Jacob Stepp, Dillon Eichner, Triston Schuster and Liam Ferguson. Fourth-place finishers at the Cortez tournament included Zane Herrmann, Bryson Higman, Jack Stanley, Dayton Christian, Daniel Philpott, Asher Liukko, Emma Smith, Akaia Edwards, Christopher Begay, Michael Millard, Kelson McCracken, Jeremiah Johnson and Allie Duran.

Next up for members of the Dolores Pee-Wee Wrestling Club will be the Judy Mason Memorial Wrestling Tournament, which will take place at Farmington High School on March 30.
