Dolores Middle School cross-country team competes in state meet

The Dolores Middle School cross-country teams produced Top 20 finishes at the Colorado Middle School State Championship in Denver on Oct. 20.

The boys team finished 12th in the Colorado Middle School State Championship, and the girls finished 18th. The Bears are led by coach Lance Webster and assistant coach Jeromie Schumacher.

The boys produced a team title at the Bayfield Invitational on Sept. 15, and the girls placed on the podium at several meets.

The middle school boys and girls teams tripled in size this fall compared with last year and finished with 13 boys and 13 girls on its roster, Schumacher said.
