The Denkai Animal Sanctuary in Cortez will host a second October walk-in veterinary clinic and plans a clinic in November.
The next clinic is on Saturday, and the November clinic will be Saturday, Nov. 2, both from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During its clinic Oct. 5, the clinic saw 44 animals in three hours, bringing the total number of animals that Denkai has helped to nearly 500, according to Denkai director Floss Blackburn.
This Saturday’s clinic, pet owners can bring their dogs and cats for low-cost vaccinations, wound care, wellness and other services.
The clinic will be led by Dr. Lisa Bane and will offer vaccinations (including rabies), deworming treatments and microchipping “at a significantly reduced price.”
Services are first come, first serve, so Blackburn encourages participants to arrive early.
Potential sponsors may email Denkai at info@denkaisanctuary.org, call (970) 516-1738 or bring item donations to the store at 209 W. Main St. in Cortez.
