The Journal

The Dementia Caregiver Support Groups meet on a monthly basis and are for family or friends who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia at any stage of the disease. The groups are facilitated by volunteers who are screened, trained and supervised by the Alzheimer’s Association. Support Groups are a safe place to receive support for the difficult journey of Alzheimer’s.

Cortez group meetings are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the third Thursday at BeeHive Homes at the Cortez Homestead, 694 Cottonwood St., and from noon to 1:30 p.m. the first Friday at Vista Mesa Assisted Living, 1206 N. Mildred St.

There is no cost to attend. For information, call 259-0122 or visit www.alz.org/co.
