The 12 recipients come from schools across Montezuma and Dolores counties

Earlier this month, the Dean Hanson Memorial Golf Tournament Scholarship panel announced the names of the students who would be this year’s scholarship recipients.

Twelve students were given the honor of being the 2024 recipients. The include four students from Montezuma-Cortez High School, one from Dove Creek, two from Dolores, two from Mancos and three with nontraditional learning in Mancos.

The MCHS recipients are Airoughn Morris, Chesnie Patrick, Emmeline Beckler and Andeline Lanier.

The recipient from Dove Creek is Kenneth Chad, and the Dolores recipients are Kayla Tallmadge and Brooklyn Lee.

The Mancos students are Chloe Enders and Akima Kane, while the nontraditional Mancos students are Lane Greenlee, Lily Figueoroa and Makayla Wayman.

The recipients also have the opportunity to reapply each of the years they are in college or university, for up to four years.
