Two country music acts will entertain at the Dolores River Brewery this month.
On March 6 at 8 p.m. Floodgate Operators, a five-piece bluegrass band from Crested Butte, will perform. The band has been gaining in popularity in Colorado for its flat-picking traditionals combined with heartfelt originals. In February they released their debut album “Drought Driven Days.”
On March 21 at 8 p.m., Corb Lund, will perform his alt-country, Americana tunes. The singer-songwriter from Alberta, Canada grew up in a ranching and rodeo family. His songs embrace Western heritage, ranging from the rough-and-tumble tales of lawless frontier saloons, to the somber realities of running a modern family ranch.
Rolling Stone Country recently included Lund in their “ten new country artists you need to know” category. He is an 8-time Canadian Country Music Awards Roots Artist of the Year and tours throughout Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia.
