The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announces that the Sleeping Ute Rest Area will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday, September 20 and 21. CDOT crews will be repaving the parking lot. The rest area is located on US Highway 160, approximately five miles east of Cortez.
Travelers will be able to gain access when the rest area re-opens beginning Thursday, September 22.
