Cortez Public Library launches summer reading program

Summer reading goes virtual this summer.

The Cortez Public Library’s Virtual 2020 Summer Reading Program will run from July 20 to Aug. 31. The theme is “Imagine Your Story.”Participants 0 to 18 years old can access and print a Reading Log online at www.cityofcortez.com/141/Library or call to request a Reading Log for pick up curbside at the library. Use the Log to record books read, books someone else reads to participants or books listen to.The library will host three Virtual Family Entertainment Programs:July 27-Aug. 2: Loco Motion with Peter DavisonAug. 10-23: Nature’s Educators: talon talk, super snakes and habitats and adaptationsAug. 24-30: Story Creations with Denise Gard: “Joey vs. the Giant Crybaby! and “Kira Puppy Tricks” The Summer Reading Program is sponsored by Golden Dreams under Onward!, a Legacy Foundation.
