Cortez Public Library will host its summer reading program with the theme of “Tails and Tales” from June 1 to July 15 and is open to ages 0 to 18.
To participate, read four books, then collect the first prize. Read four more and collect a second prize and enter to win the grand prize.
Three virtual performance/events will also be part of the program and will be posted on the library’s Facebook page.
Events include:
- June 1 to June 13: Tall Tales of the Lost Temple with ventriloquist Meghan Casey of Rocky Mountain Puppets
- June 16, 6 p.m.: Mythology of Constellations with Fiske Planetarium CU Boulder. Ages 8 to 12. To register, call 565-8117. Space is limited.
- June 13 to June 28: Steve Weeks Music.
