Conquistador Golf Course’s head professional, Micah Rudosky, has made himself into a regular on the PGA major circuit.
Over the weekend of May 23-26, Rudosky heads to Benton Harbor, Michigan, to play in his sixth major – and fourth KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship – in the past four years. The senior circuit returns to a familiar site, Harbor Shores Golf Club, where Rudosky enjoyed his best appearance in his Professional Golfers' Association resume.
Two years ago on the course on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, Rudosky took 73rd with a two-day total of 146 (+4), a finish that left him one shot off the cut.
Rudosky didn’t directly make the field this year, but instead had to wait as an alternate to see if he would get his opportunity. Less than a week before the event, Rudosky received confirmation that his name will once again join a star-studded field battling for the Alfred S. Bourne Trophy.
The PGA major appearance will be Rudosky’s seventh overall, with his six Senior PGA major events joining his PGA Championship appearance from 2008.
Action begins on Thursday, May 23, as Rudosky seeks to make his first major cut to play into the weekend.
